For over ten years, Still Moon Arts Society (SMAS) has brought recognition to Still Creek, Renfrew Ravine, and their relationship to the watershed through innovative community development initiatives and artistic education. Building off of the success of previous Neighbourhood Matching Fund Projects: the Still Creek Stories Street Mural on Ravine Street in 2014 and the Still Creek Stories Street Murals Part 2 in 2015, SMAS has continued to metaphorically "daylight" lost streams in Renfrew-Collingwood by creating street murals with the help of the community. Street murals were created to mark where the creeks once flowed across Horley Street and Cheyenne Avenue between Duchess Street and Earles Street. It reconnects communities to their watershed and weaves ongoing conversations about community, land, and the ecosystem in the area.Medium/discipline of Project
