Description

From planting crops, tending plantings, harvesting, eating and processing the fibres grown to finally spinning linen thread from our flax crop; community members worked with the lead artists at every step of the project. Embedded in the agricultural process we reclaimed the traditional celebratory nature of these social activities, bringing music and dance into the structured physical tasks of our labour. In partnership with Aberthau/West Point Grey Community Centre and the Vancouver Park Board Arts, Culture & Engagement team.
