Description

The West End Greenway Project was designed to install mosaic art - made by community members - in the laneway behind the West End Community Centre and King George Secondary School. The project held community meetings, made presentations to students in King George Secondary School and to residents at Sunset Towers, set up a steering committee of community members, and had a presence at neighbourhood events such as Car Free Day. Ultimately, approximately 35 local residents participated in workshops to create the mosaics. As of January 2011, the mosaics are being stored at the West End Community Centre until a suitable location for installation can be found.
