Description

The artists in this project were students who participated in a community art project. Three of 16 designs produced were selected by the community. The designs selected were created by three John Oliver High School students: Jieun Seo, Anita Dahyio and Reagan Szeto. The Punjabi Market Banners project created two beautiful banners, to enhance the Market's appearance. The project was guided by the following partners: South Vancouver Neighbourhood House , Punjabi Market Association, John Oliver High School, Sunset Community Centre, Sunset City Plan Committee, Langara College and local residents. The banners were designed in art workshops (led by Langara College Fine Arts Program students) with students from John Oliver High School and the Sunset Community Centre.
