ALIVE (Aboriginal Life in Vancouver Enhancement) Society exists to promote, enhance and foster the social, economic, and cultural wellbeing and health of Aboriginal peoples in Vancouver. They strive to create opportunities for urban Aboriginal people in the City of Vancouver to fully engage as citizens in their neighbourhoods, and in the city as a whole. They reach out to the community on an ongoing basis to ensure they remain fully accountable to their members and the communities to which they belong.

ALIVE always strives to build effective partnerships and collaboratives, promoting initiatives and strategies that enhance the experiences of both Aboriginal and nonAboriginal communities at the local level; while still pushing to create avenues for the urban Aboriginal population to forge stronger relationships at the provincial and federal levels
