Local artist Giles Chin was given the task to design, paint and maintains the River Project from mid-April to mid-September. The cooler weather Giles moves indoor to focus on the window mural project.
Giles is a long time resident of the Grandview Woodland area, and has been involved with Britannia Centre since its opening in1976. He was arts instructor for Public Dream Society, Britannia's children's, youth and adult recreation programs and resident artist. He puppeteer in the movie and TV industry (google Giles Chin IMBD) He currently sits on the Britannia Arts and Culture committee and is a multi-disciplinary in film animation, dance, sculpture, paint and photo.
He also, has worked on Public Dream Society, Mosaic Creek Project. Juried Pencil Project at Grandview Park, he sat on the forming committee of establish VPB Artist in Residence Program under the direction of Susan Gordan (early '80)
Giles, schooling, that would be 1st and 2nd year film studies SFU back in '79 and '80 and 3rd year animation Emily Carr in '84,
