Hives for Humanity was founded in 2012. Their team includes an experienced Support Worker, a trained Horticulturist, and Master beekeepers as well as a strong contingent of volunteer workers from the DTES Community who are peer leaders.
They've installed pollinator gardens throughout Vancouver, and coordinated hundreds of green, pollinator and apiculture workshops, in communities including the DTES, creating spaces for the community to share their skills, learn together, and activate space together.
