Description

This project cleared the view corridors using low shade and low maintenance ground cover, blooming shrubs, pollinator plants and grasses etc. to infuse some light, colour and natural splendor into a dark shady area. The community designed a concept that they wanted to see for more community engagement. With help and direction from park operations staff and arborists to trim back overgrown trees and shrubbery and advise on easy to maintain drought resistant perennial plantings, community members helped create garden designs and identify animations for the new pathways that are identified by the community envisioning process.
