Description

The youth council members worked with Yoko to display, in a fun and colourful way, reflections of the "Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets". The words of external assets of empowerment, constructive use of time, boundaries and expectations as well as internal assets such as positive values, social competencies and positive identity were painted into the mural along with images of the nature of B.C. and people playing sports. Youth collaborated with Yoko, a local community artist, in the final design of the mural.
